Solve the challenges of large-scale data, once and for all.

The Holberton school is humming! We started with a social hour, enjoying delicious, creative food by Guillaume Salva of Blankette. Now, the creativity is turning to developing ideas for innovative ways to use the Scality S3 Server. Giorgio Regni and Vianney Rancurel of Scality and Chiaming Yang of Seagate took participants through the background and logisitics to get the hackers geared-up to consider possible projects. Next, they made their teams and pitched their ideas–to each other and to mentors. There’s a lot of excitement (and not just because of the prizes).

Hackathon weekend is underway!

With just a few minutes more to go in the Friday session, ideas are gelling and teams are working to set the stage for tomorrow’s work.

S3 Server Hackathon

S3 Server Hackathon

If you couldn’t make it to the hackathon here in San Francisco, you can still take advantage of the same tools these hackers are using. Download the open source Scality S3 Server at https://s3.scality.com/. Scality S3 Server is an open-source object storage project to enable on-premises S3-based application development and data deployment choice. Use it to build and integrate S3-based applications faster, and store your data anywhere.
